BHIND 
           The Land of Bibhandak Rishi

                     Road transport is the  main mode of transportation in Bhind. The total extend of road lines in the district is about 1319 Kms and 84 Km railway line. 27.26% villages are served by roads. There is one National Highway through Bhind (NH 92, Bhougaon - Etawah - Gwalior , 171 Km.(total) ). The classification of roads in Bhind are as under. There are so many villages (out of 950) not connected by road or rail.

State HighWays
      These roads are important trunk routes functioning as major intra state links. The three important State Highways pass through the district and important towns. The State Highway No 37 Etawa(U.P.) Khariyal (Orissa). This road runs for about 76km in the District. State Highway Morena Mehgaon runs for about 24km.The State Highway Bhind - Bhander is about 84km.

The major District roads serve areas of production and markets connecting them with another or with the Highways or the railways. The Major such roads are

Other District Roads
     Such roads are intended to serve the interior rural areas. they connect villages and groups of villages with District roads and small important towns. Most of them are  not passable during the rainy season.

Forest Roads
      These roads are mostly cart tracks , unmetalled and motor able only during the open season, these roads are built and maintained by the forest department.

Transport Services
     In Bhind District both private and State owned public transport services ply side by side. The main routes are operated by the Madhya Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (M.P.S.R.T.C)  while  the rural routes are mostly operated by private operators.

     The main means of conveyance in the town is the Cycle Rickshaw. It is cheaply available. Auto rickshaw are less and people prefer cycle rickshaw to Auto rickshaw because of their availability.

Railways
    
The railway line connects Bhind with Gwalior.This line was constructed  by the erstwhile Gwalior State  and opened on 3rd December 1899.The Gwalior light Railway (later known as Scindhia State railway) was worked by the Great Indian Peninsula Railway Company upto 30th June 1913, after which was taken by he Gwalior Durbar. The line was integrated into Central Railway on 5th November 1951.
    Morena is the first railway station in the District followed by Gohad road, Sondha road, Soni,Agokhar, Itehar and Bhind Stations.
