BHIND 
          The Land of Bibhandak Rishi
         It is well known fact that the region has been subjected to depredations of dacoits, robbers or thugs since ages. The Majestic Chambal, sorrouned by yawning chasms and gaping  behads  which seem to keep company with the river on its last journey to meet Yamuna , provide an ideal setting to this murkry banditry in a big way.

   The courts located in the District are those of the:-
  
   1. District and Sessions Judge, Bhind
   2. Five Additional District Judge , Class 1 Bhind
   3. Two Civil Judge Class I  Bhind 
   4. Four Civil Judge Class II  Bhind 
   5. One Special Judge Class I ,  Fast track Court Bhind 
   6. One  Additional District Judge , Class 1 Lahar
   7. One Civil Judge Class I  Lahar 
   8. One Civil Judge Class II  Lahar 
   9. One Additional District Judge  , Class I Gohad
 10. One Civil Judge Class I , Mehgaon
         
     The District Superintendent of Police, Bhind was assisted in 1975 by three Deputy Superintendent of Police 71 Inspectors and Sub Inspectors, 139 Head Constables and 651 Constables. There were 21 Police stations in 1975, and one Out Post in the district. There were five Circles namely Bhind, Ater, Mehgaon,Gohad and Lahar. Each Circle is in charge of a Circle Inspector. The Sub Inspector is in charge of a Police station. 
   The Police force in the District, to a great extend , is successful in curbing the dacoits in the District.
